How to get to Estonia
There are many options to travel to Estonia. Prices for flights have become rather cheap, but often traveling bus might be cheaper but not as comfortable.
Travel to Estonia by bus
Tallinn and other major cities are perfectly linked to most European cities and prices remain fairly low. Especially Eurolines has good connections. If you get off in Tallinn and want to go to the Old Town it is best to get off at the ferry terminal. If you are late for a cheap flight or want to be flexible in your schedule then the bus is recommended if available.
Travel to Estonia by ferry
There are a huge number of ferry connections between Estonia and other countries like Finland, Sweden and Germany. If you are planning to take a car with you it might have an even higher advantage.
Travel to Estonia by plane
By far the most comfortable option and in many cases the cheapest one for your trip to Estonia. There are lots of direct flights to Tallinn from all over the world. If you can’t find a suitable flight be sure to check other options, like a flight to Helsinki (then take the ferry to Tallinn, 2 hours) or Riga (then take an express bus, 5 hours). Depending on your destination Riga might even be closer any ways.
Travel to Estonia by train
Train connections are widely available, but usually more expensive than flights or buses if you are not using a special (reduced fare or multi-day) ticket. Coming from Russia guarantees a smooth overnight journey. Trains leave Moscow at 18.15 and arrive the next morning in Tallinn at 08.28.
